The community is invited to step back into the golden age of Atlantic City with renowned historian and author Vicki Gold Levi, whose lifelong connection to the resort’s history began with her father, legendary Atlantic City photographer Al Gold.
Gold documented generations of Atlantic City life through his camera, capturing everyone from Miss America contestants and Boardwalk entertainers to presidents, celebrities, civic leaders, and everyday residents. His remarkable photographic collection provides a vivid record of the people, places, and personalities that helped define Atlantic City during some of its most memorable decades.
Growing up surrounded by her father’s photographs and stories, Vicki Gold Levi developed a passion for preserving Atlantic City’s colorful past. She has become one of the city’s foremost historians and has devoted much of her career to ensuring that its stories and images are preserved for future generations.
An author, museum founder, and historical consultant, Levi is the author of “Atlantic City: 125 Years of Ocean Madness” and has worked extensively to document the history, culture, and personalities of the legendary seaside resort.
