ATLANTIC CITY – Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office fatal accident unit reported that two people died Thursday evening in an accident involving a dirt bike on the Black Horse Pike.

According to a release, the accident occurred at 9:42 p.m. at 1600 N. Albany Ave.

Atlantic City Police responded to the scene. A preliminary investigation revealed that Inzamamul Haque, 20, of Atlantic City, was traveling eastbound on Route 40 in a BMW M2 when the vehicle struck the rear end of a Yamaha YZ250 dirt bike, also traveling eastbound. The operator of the Yamaha dirt bike, Baseem K. Taliaferro, Jr., 21, of Galloway Township, and his passenger, Yasmeen R. Williams, 21, of Egg Harbor City, were ejected from the dirt bike and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing. The case is being investigated by the Atlantic City Police Department with the assistance of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Crash Investigations Unit.
