As families across the region navigate the realities of Alzheimer’s, dementia, and the broader challenges of aging, Mosaic is investing in community-based solutions that foster connection, independence, and quality of life.

Through its new Community Grants initiative, Mosaic is funding innovative programs that help older adults stay active, engaged, and supported in their daily lives. The inaugural round of awards totals $14,500, supporting organizations and initiatives that bring meaningful services directly into the community.

“We are proud to support programs that meet people where they are and enhance the everyday experiences of older adults and their families,” Director of Philanthropy Erin Luurtsema said. “These grants reflect our commitment to strengthening care, connection, and dignity in aging.”

Initiatives span fitness, creative expression, movement based engagement, and adult day programming – each designed to promote wellness and social connection among older adults.

Funded initiatives include:

  • Marjorie and Lewis Katz Jewish Community Center – funding for exercise equipment supporting Parkinson’s Power class
  • Create48 – Mosaic Paintings in Atlantic City
  • Board of Jewish Education – Mosaic on the Move, senior sessions incorporating movement at various community locations

Through its five pillars, Mosaic advocates for seniors, providing vital resources for Alzheimer’s and dementia care, family support, community connection, education, and a wide range of services and programs. The foundation, guided by Jewish tradition, works to create a supportive environment for seniors and their caregivers, promoting independence and well-being in every phase of life.
