DOWNBEACH – The Margate and Ventnor police departments have issued advisories about special police work being conducted in the area over the next two Thursdays.
They informed the public on their Facebook pages that local law enforcement agencies, including the Atlantic County SWAT team will be conducting multi-jurisdictional training exercises Thursdays, July 16 and July 23, that will require increased police presence.
Police advise the public there is no need for concern.
Margate Police said the public should expect activity near the city’s educational institutions. The parking lot at Benson and Monmouth avenues in Margate City will serve as a staging area and will have numerous police vehicles parked there.
SWAT team members will be moving through the city, Ventnor Police advised.
