EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – Jewish War Veterans Post 39 will participate in the placement of Memorial Day flags at Beth Kehillah Cemetery, 6687 Black Horse Pike. Flag placement will take place 10 a.m. Sunday, May 24. Volunteers are asked to meet in front of the Beth Kehillah Office before placing the flags.
Community members who would like to participate are encouraged to contact Martin Ross at coastwatcher@verizon.net for additional information.
Volunteers are asked to bring a screwdriver or similar tool to assist with placing the flags into the ground.
This annual tradition honors the memory and service of the nation’s veterans and reflects the continued commitment of the Jewish community to remembrance and respect for those who served.
