ATLANTIC CITY – The leadership of the PR Council of Greater Atlantic City has made a difficult decision to disband the organization after its final meeting in mid-June.

For many years, the PR Council has united communication, marketing, public relations and business professionals from across the greater Atlantic City region to learn, connect and grow through professional development programs and networking opportunities. The organization met monthly to enjoy programming and luncheons at locations throughout the region.

Leadership touted its accomplishments, including scholarships for students at Stockton University and Atlantic Cape Community College in an effort to encourage the next generation of communication professionals.

“Like many professional organizations, however, we have seen participation trends change over time. Busy schedules, evolving networking habits and the growing challenge of bringing people together for in-person luncheon meetings have led us to recognize that the time may be right for a new model of professional connection and engagement,” a letter from the Board of Directors stated.

The announcement of the final meeting in June is forthcoming.
